Most of my art focuses on the ethereal moments found in nature, but all my art is about life. The infinitesimal details of rock and steel, plant and animal, ice and water compel me to preserve the intense color and contrasts that nature presents to us. The ability to create a photograph that reflects the fascinating beauty and movement of life is the essence of my work.

I focus primarily on natural light and color to emphasize both the texture and intimate details that exist within the natural world. I strive to make my images reflect the organic forms and brilliant contrasts that I see with the naked eye and to re-create them in a way that will force the observer to take a more intimate and panoptic view of the world that exists within our superficial perspective.

In 2004, my husband and I moved from Upstate New York to live and work in Yellowstone National Park. After two years we moved to Bozeman, Montana so I could continue to pursue my photography in the "last best place." Many thanks are due to my husband, Nick, for all his support, patience and his amazing ability to drive for hours and know just when the sun is going to set!
